Anna Simonetta is a Dutch pianist and composer passionate about contemporary classical music and cross-over. Her sensitive and dynamic works elicit the piano’s ability to touch the soul, with beautiful melodies inside a melancholic sound.

Growing up, Anna became fascinated by music as a powerful form of expression. She started improvising on the piano and accompanying a choir at the age of fourteen. Later in life, she had the opportunity to study classical piano with Marianne Boer at University College Roosevelt. While Anna started her journey in music performing, she encountered many setbacks that challenged her ability to share her music with the world. Anna suffers from chronic pain which significantly impacts her life. While this could have easily been a barrier that stopped her from sharing her sound, it encouraged her to find new ways to connect and share the joy she finds in music.

Anna Simonetta’s first & independent release was her debut album ‘Firemark ‘ in 2017, recorded on a Fazioli grand piano. In the fall of 2022, she released her second album ‘White Shepherd’ with the Canadian label ‘enjou’ (formerly Little Symphony Records). She recorded all tracks for this album at home on her upright Yamaha piano.
